Howard Community College: Other. Code Yellow


Loyola University Maryland: Closed.

McDaniel College: Early close. 12:00 PM. McDaniel College will close at 12 noon today, Sunday, Jan. 31. A decision regarding the campus status for tomorrow, Feb. 1, will be made by 6 a.m. The snow removal plan will be in effect and the Grounds crew will be working to clear the RED pathways. MICA: Closed. Required Attendance Personnel should report as scheduled or assigned. Dining remains open for grab and go services. Shuttle Services are suspended.

American Visionary Art Museum: Closed.

Fort McHenry: Closed.

Maryland Zoo: Closed.

Monday, February 1

Bowie State University: Other. Full remote operations, with no in-person activities.

Carroll Community College: Other. Campus facilities closed.

Community College of Baltimore County: Other. Closed for on-site classes until 5 pm. Remote or online classes and employee telework continue as scheduled.

Coppin State University: Other. All employees should telework. Only essential employees should report to campus. All classes will continue as scheduled in a virtual format. All on-campus face to face classes will meet in a virtual format.


Frostburg State University: Delayed start. 10:00 AM

Howard Community College: Other. Code Yellow

Johns Hopkins University: Closed.

Maryland University of Integrative Health: Other. Campus closed. Individuals operating remotely will continue to operate.

McDaniel College: Other. McDaniel College announces a change to the campus status for Monday, Feb. 1, 2021. All online undergraduate and graduate courses will proceed as normal, although the college will be closed. Only essential employees will report, remotely or in-person, as required. MICA: Closed. Online classes, telework not affected. Dining will remain open for grab-and-go service.

Morgan State University: Delayed start. 8:30 AM. Essential employees, please report as directed by your supervisor. All other teleworking university staff, please plan to telework.

Mount St. Mary's University: Other. Classes will be held remotely. The campuses in Emmitsburg and Frederick, as well as the ARCC and the National Shrine Grotto, are closed. Essential personnel must report.

Notre Dame of Maryland University: Closed. NDMU campus is closed and classes will shift to full remote operations, with no in-person learning. All classes will be remote. All essential employees should report as scheduled, while all other staff members should operate virtually.

Towson University: Other. Towson University will close its physical campus. Remote academic instruction will continue as scheduled. Emergency essential personnel for inclement weather response should report on time. Other staff should continue to telework.

University of Baltimore: Other. All campus operations are closed. Essential employees should report. Remote learning and telework will continue as scheduled.

Glenelg Country School: Closed. All divisions have a full snow day with no classes. All campus and extracurricular activities are canceled.


Indian Creek School: Closed. Both campuses will be closed, and school is canceled for the day.

Key School: Other. Virtual classes for all; no on-campus instruction. All offices will also operate virtually.

Loyola Blakefield: Closed. No virtual classes. Campus will remain closed for the day.

McDonogh School: Closed.

Mercy High School: Closed.

Odyssey School: Closed.


Oldfields School: Other. Classes will be held remotely. We will follow a synchronous flex day schedule concluding at 12:20 p.m. Students should check Class Pages for remote learning instructions and log into their first class at 8:00 a.m. As always, these changes are reflected in the Plan of the Week.

Peabody Institute: Other. Campus buildings will be closed, with no physical access for in-person classes, library resources, or practice rooms. All remote work will continue as scheduled. All classes, lessons, and other activities scheduled to be in person will be held online.

Roland Park Country School: Closed.

School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen: Closed.

Severn School: Closed. Severn will be closed Monday for a snow day. If the inclement weather persists, Severn will transition to remote learning on Tuesday. A confirmation about Tuesday's status will be sent on Monday.

St. Paul's School: Closed.


St. Paul's School for Girls: Closed.

St. Timothy's School: Closed.

Anne Arundel County schools: Closed. Due to weather, school system closed on Monday, 2/1. Semester break for students shifts to 2/2. Classes resume for students on 2/3.

Baltimore City schools: Other. Essential employees will report on a two-hour delay.

Baltimore County schools: Other. Meal distribution canceled.

Calvert County schools: Other. Code Virtual.


Carroll County schools: Other. Schools closed for students. Teachers work on end-of-marking-period items. Nonworkday for instructional assistants.

Cecil County schools: Other. All instruction will be virtual (no face-to-face) and all staff should telework. View details here:

Frederick County schools: Closed. Only emergency personnel to report as directed.

Harford County schools: Other. All buildings and technology hubs are closed to staff and visitors. Essential personnel will receive further instruction from their supervisor. Staff able to work virtually should do so for the duration of the workday.

Howard County schools: Other. Virtual instruction as scheduled; HCPSS buildings are closed. Meal service canceled. In-person evening activities w/ HCPSS students/staff & community-sponsored programs in HCPSS buildings are canceled.

Montgomery County schools: Other. Virtual learning will begin on time Monday, Feb. 1, 2021. Childcare and other in-person activities such as appointments may begin at 11:30 a.m. Meal distribution will begin at 12 p.m. and run through 1:30 p.m. MCPS offices will open on time. More info:


Prince George's County schools: Early close. 2 hours early. Virtual learning will continue with a two-hour early dismissal for all students. All buildings are closed. Meal service and non-public transportation are canceled. Emergency personnel only should report to work with a two-hour delay.

St. Mary's County schools: Delayed start. 2 hour delay
