- Steve Washinton, 60, is a volunteer at the Baltimore Animal and Care Shelter (BARCS) in Cherry Hill. For the past eight years, the Nottingham resident has taken on several roles such as greeting visitors at the entrance, spearheading adoption classes, fundraising events and nurturing cats and dogs at the shelter.
