A look at how the offense shapes up after the final major cutdown (although more changes could occur this week):

Starter: Joe Flacco. Backup: Tyrod Taylor. Comment: There were no surprises here because Flacco and Taylor were locks to make the team. It's still undecided whether a banged-up Taylor (left shoulder contusion) will remain the primary backup. There weren't many intriguing names released Saturday (Trent Edwards, Josh McCown and Dan Orlovsky headlined the quarterbacks), and Sage Rosenfels might be available if he reaches an injury settlement with the New York Giants after his bout with strep throat.

Starters: Ray Rice (RB) and Vonta Leach (FB). Backups: Ricky Williams and Anthony Allen. Comment: The only running back remaining from last season is Rice, who is entering his third year as a starter. Leach is the prototypical fullback, and Williams is the consummate backup. Allen got the nod over Jalen Parmele after averaging 6.8 yards on 11 carries this preseason.

Starters: Anquan Boldin and Lee Evans. Backups: David Reed, Torrey Smith, Tandon Doss and LaQuan Williams. Comment: Boldin and Evans are the perfect complement of toughness and speed. It'll be interesting to see who steps up as the No. 3 wideout. Reed is suspended for the season opener after violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Smith can stretch the field, although he struggled with catching the ball this preseason. Doss has been the more polished rookie. Williams has been the team's most pleasant surprise of the preseason with big catches and punt returns.

Starter: Ed Dickson. Backups: Dennis Pitta and Kris Wilson. Comment: The Ravens will replace Todd Heap with a combined effort from Dickson and Pitta. Both are young and athletic. They also both made big plays down the seam this preseason. Wilson beat out Davon Drew for the third spot .The experience of an eight-year veteran like Wilson is an asset for the two 2010 draft picks.

Starters: LT Bryant McKinnie, LG Ben Grubbs, C Matt Birk, RG Marshal Yanda, RT Michael Oher. Backups: G-T Mark LeVoir, C Bryan Mattison, T Jah Reid. Comment: The Ravens chose to keep an extra defensive back (Chykie Brown) and defensive lineman (Michael McAdoo) by going with fewer offensive linemen than usual. Don't be surprised if the Ravens add another veteran interior lineman before the season opener. Although Mattison did an admirable job, it would be smart for the Ravens to upgrade there considering Birk isn't fully recovered from knee surgery last month.
