News of the Ravens' final roster cuts are beginning to filter out, and two players have confirmed with The Sun that they have been released.

Running back Jalen Parmele said via email that the team waived him Saturday morning. Similarly, tight end Davon Drew confirmed via text that he is no longer a member of the organization.

Parmele also wrote about his release via his Twitter account (JayParmele). He wrote, "just been released! will not be a Raven this year! Ima miss my teammates and their steroid, dark skin and bald headed jokes."In another Tweet, Parmele wrote, "But Ima miss lining up with them on game day the most...It's been fun Bmore, enjoyed bein a Raven. Appreciate the love!"

Parmele's departure could signal the club's desire to retain rookie running back Anthony Allen for the 53-man roster. Allen, a seventh-round pick in April, had been competing with Parmele to possibly become the team's No. 3 tailback behind starter Ray Rice and backup Ricky Williams.

The decision to part ways with Drew might also be an indication that Kris Wilson is moving closer to cementing a spot on the roster. Wilson led the team in catches in the preseason with eight catches.
