For the second consecutive preseason game, the Ravens will welcome back several familiar faces to M&T Bank Stadium.
Quarterback John Beck, cornerback Josh Wilson, right guard Chris Chester, linebacker Edgar Jones, wide receiver Donte' Stallworth, kicker Graham Gano and long snapper Nick Sundberg will lead the Washington Redskins into Thursday night's preseason contest.
Their appearance will come just six days after the Kansas City Chiefs paid a visit to Baltimore with nose tackle Kelly Gregg, fullback Le'Ron McClain, wide receiver Terrance Copper, offensive tackle Jared Gaither and quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn.Ravens defensive end Cory Redding declined to put too much emphasis on the return of the former Ravens who now play for the Redskins.
"Hey, man, Kansas City had some former Ravens," he said with a laugh after Tuesday's practice at the team's training facility in Owings Mills. "That's all I've got to say."
Redding will get a chance to re-familiarize himself with Chester, the Ravens' former second-round pick in 2006 who bolted for Washington via free agency and is that team's starting right guard.
"We know what he's about," Redding said. "We know what kind of player he is. He's tough, he's a fighter, he knows the game very well, and he definitely knows how we're going to play and how we're going to come. It's going to be fun competing against him with the bullets being live instead of at practice."
