Ravens end Lawrence's season by putting RB on IR

For the third consecutive year, Matt Lawrence's season has been cut short.

The Ravens have placed the third-year running back on injured reserve. Lawrence, who had been plagued by knee problems in 2009 and 2010, is dealing with a concussion.

By placing Lawrence on IR, the team trimmed its roster to the 80 players as required by the NFL.In other news, Lee Evans did not participate in his third consecutive practice Tuesday. The wide receiver had sat out Saturday's session with a protective boot on his left foot, and he was absent from Monday's practice at the Ravens' training facility in Owings Mills.

In addition to Evans, cornerback Chris Carr (left hamstring), offensive tackle Mark LeVoir (unspecified) and rookie guard/center Justin Boren (unspecified) were not present during the portion of practice open to the media. It was the second straight absence for Carr and LeVoir.
