Paramount has put Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather" -- a film that even the notorious perfectionist Stanley Kubrick called "a perfect movie" -- on YouTube in its entirety.
What is the point? Is Paramount trying to prove that you can fully appreciate a masterpiece like "The Godfather" only in restored prints and carefully-mastered discs, like the ones prepared for the studio by Robert A. Harris several years ago? Is this a master-stroke of publicity for some huge "Godfather" event to follow?
How many of you think this is a good way to watch a vital and beautiful classic?
