Mason's trip to New York comes at a time when the Ravens are pursuing free-agent wide receiver Malcom Floyd. The Ravens released Mason last week to save $4.5 million in salary cap room.If the Jets sign Mason, he would become the team's No. 3 wide receiver, joining Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress. It would likely lead to Jerricho Cotchery getting released or traded.

Mason, 37, ranks first in the Ravens' existence in catches (471) and receiving yards (5,777).

Other Ravens to follow Ryan to New York include: linebacker Bart Scott, safety Jim Leonhard and defensive end Trevor Pryce.
