There is some truth to the fact that some free agents have decided not to come to Baltimore because of coach John Harbaugh's hard-nosed approach. It sounds like a problem, but it's really not. Coaches want certain kind of players and Harbaugh is no different.
At least with the free agents that come to Baltimore, they know what to expect from Harbaugh and Harbaugh knows what to expect from them. Bill Parcells was a hard-nosed coach and he won. Bill Belichick is a hard-nosed coach, and he still wins. Harbaugh's style fits the city of Baltimore.
I don't agree with his three-hour practices -- two is more than enough -- but I understand the work ethic and tone he is trying to set. It's old school, and still successful in the NFL. And if players don't like it, don't come here. Win, and they will come.
