It took a couple of practices but new Ravens receiver Lee Evans was able to get his No. 83 jersey from tight end Ed Dickson.
Evans was traded from Buffalo for a fourth-round pick Friday and wore Derrick Mason's No. 85 jersey. That was always considered temporary.
Evans has used that number since he was a first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2004."It wasn't about compensation," Evans said. "It wsa moreso out of respect."
Dickson has switched to No. 84, which had been worn by tight end Johdrick Morris (who is now taking No. 85).
