Rookie running back Anthony Allen, the team's seventh-round pick out of Georgia Tech, played well against the Chiefs. He is a big, physical runner whose style would complement starting running back Ray Rice.

Allen hits the hole direct, hard and has good body lean even though he'll run too upright at times. One problem he has to correct is holding onto the football. In practice, he has had more fumbles than any of the other runners. If he wants to make the regular-season roster, he has to improve his ball security.

Allen, 6-foot-0 and 230 pounds, faces an uphill battle to make the roster because the Ravens have Rice, Ricky Williams and Jalen Parmele ahead of him. But Allen would be a good guy to hide on the practice squad because he has a lot of potential, and is one tough player.
