Free-agent cornerback Chris Carr announced Saturday that he is re-signing with the Ravens.
"Well bmore. I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkk!," Carr posted on Twitter. "Very excited to finish my career here."
The team turned its attention to Carr after cornerback Josh Wilson signed with the Washington Redskins earlier in the week. Carr, 28, was a full-time starter for the first time in his career last season and was the team's most consistent corner. He agreed to a four-year contract.
He would add experienced depth to a cornerback group that has Domonique Foxworth, Lardarius Webb and Jimmy Smith.Carr had drawn interest from Jacksonville, Cincinnati and the New York Jets.
In successive tweets, Carr dedicated himself to making the Ravens better:
"I will work as hard as possible to make myself and my teammates better. That includes the mental, spiritual, physical, and nutritional"
"Thanks to all the support, I love it here in bmore and I love everything about being a Raven. Well, this will be the last tweet for a while"
