Ravens retain special teamer Prescott Burgess

The Ravens have reached an agreement in principle with linebacker Prescott Burgess, the team confirmed Wednesday.

Burgess has led the Ravens in special teams tackles the past two seasons. The Ravens didn't tender him as a restricted free agent (which would have required $1.2 million this season), but they were able to retain him for the veteran minimum ($685,000).

Burgess, 27, was a sixth-round pick in 2007.
