With Santonio Holmes going back to the New York Jets, the top free-agent wide receiver remaining is Sidney Rice.
But the wide receiver who could be on the Ravens' radar is San Diego's Malcom Floyd. Cam Cameron was Floyd's offensive coordinator in San Diego for his first three seasons in the NFL (2004-06).
Floyd, 29, is tall (6 feet 5) and can stretch the field. Last season, he scored six touchdowns and averaged 19.4 yards per catch. His career average is 17.3 yards per catch. His reception totals aren't staggering. He caught 45 passes in 2009 and 37 last season. But the Ravens don't really need him to be a consistent target with Anquan Boldin on the team.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, it's "virtually certain" that the Chargers won't re-sign Floyd. San Diego is committing $11 million to wide receiver Vincent Jackson because of the franchise tag.
