Jimmy Smith, the Ravens' first round pick, has signed a four-year contract and will participate in his first NFL practice today. His deal totals $7.4 million, including a $3.9 million signing bonus.
Smith was considered by many as the second-best cornerback in the draft, but he slid to the Ravens at the 27th overall pick because of character issues. He will battle Domonique Foxworth and Lardarius Webb for a starting job this season.
All eight of the Ravens' draft picks are now signed before the team's second practice of training camp.
