Fabian Washington becomes seventh Ravens' free agent to sign elsewhere, joining the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Washington, 28, was acquired from Oakland in 2008 for a fourth-round pick (Raiders used it on wide receiver Arman Shields, who never made an NFL catch). In his three seasons with the Ravens, he started 30 games, intercepted once pass and broke up 35 passes.

He immediately became the team's top cornerback in his first season, breaking up a team-best 19 passes that season. But he struggled with his consistency and was benched twice his last two seasons. The other Ravens' free agents to sign elsewhere are: cornerback Josh Wilson (Washington), safety Dawan Landry (Jacksonville), nose tackle Kelly Gregg (Kansas City), running back Willis McGahee (Denver), offensive lineman Chris Chester (Washington) and wide receiver Donte' Stallworth (Washington).
