Ozzie Newsome usually doesn't reveal much information when it comes to the draft. But the Ravens general manager did acknowledge the team's intention to add to the wide receiving group.
The Ravens will probably look at a second-tier of wide-outs that include: Maryland's Torrey Smith, Boise State's Titus Young, Pittsburgh's Jonathan Baldwin, Miami's Leonard Hankerson, North Carolina's Greg Little and East Carolina's Dwayne Harris.
"We've done a good job of stacking the board with some guys that have some size, some guys have some unique quickness about them and some guys that have some flat-out speed," Newsome said at Tuesday's pre-draft press conference. "It's a very good board for receivers this year. I do foresee, unless something changes, of those nine picks we have, probably one of them will be a receiver."The Ravens are not expected to re-sign T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Donte' Stallworth whenever free agency occurs. That leaves the Ravens with Anquan Boldin, Derrick Mason, David Reed, Marcus Smith, Justin Harper, James Hardy and Brandon Jones.
