Rice is 8th-best RB in ESPN power rankings

The Ravens' Ray Rice is the eighth-best running back in the NFL, according to ESPN's power rankings.

Chris Johnson of the Titans edges out Adrian Peterson of the Vikings for the top spot. In order following are Maurice Jones-Drew (Jaguars); Arian Foster (Texans); Jamaal Charles (Chiefs); Michael Turner (Falcons); and Steven Jackson (Rams). Then comes Rice. Rashard Mendenhall (Steelers), Frank Gore (49ers), LeSean McCoy (Eagles) and Darren McFadden (Raiders) round out the top 10. Gore, McCoy and McFadden tied for the 10th spot.

I'd rather have Rice instead of Turner and Jackson because I think he's better out of the backfield as a receiver, but it's tough to quibble with the others ahead of Rice. You might want to see Foster and Charles put up big numbers for several seasons before ranking them that high, but they had unbelievable seasons last year.

What do you think?
