The Ravens retained all of their restricted free agents, assigning low tenders to all of them except one -- Jameel McClain. The former undrafted linebacker received a second-round tender, meaning a team would have to give that pick as compensation in order to sign him away from the Ravens. McClain is the only starter among the RFAs.
This was a less eventful RFA class than last season, when the Ravens gave three first-round tenders (Jared Gaither, Le'Ron McClain and Fabian Washington) and four second-round ones (Sam Koch, Marshal Yanda, Dawan Landry and Mark Clayton).
Here's the recap:ILB Jameel McClain: Second-round tender
OT Oniel Cousins: Low (means third-round pick as compensation)
SS Tom Zbikowski: Low (means third-round pick as compensation)
ILB Tavares Gooden: Low (means third-round pick as compensation)
WR Marcus Smith: Low (means fourth-round pick as compensation)
FS Haruki Nakamura: Low (means sixth-round pick as compensation)
RB Jalen Parmele: Low (means sixth-round pick as compensation)
DT Kelly Talavou: Low (means no compensation because he was undrafted)
DT Lamar Divens: Low (means no compensation because he was undrafted)
