Running back Ray Rice is eligible to be on the cover of EA Sports' Madden NFL 12 cover. He's the Ravens' candidate and there is one from each team.
It's quite an honor and it usually means you've had a great season the year before. Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints was on the Madden 11 cover and his team was knocked out of the playoffs in the first round after winning the Super Bowl the season before.
Then there is the whole curse thing. In the past some players have suffered season-ending injuries after being chosen for the cover (Donovan McNabb and Michael Vick among them).
So do you want to take the chance of having Rice on the cover? Wouldn't you prefer to see someone like the Steelers' Hines Ward, who could become even more famous if he wins Dancing With The Stars?
Vick is again a candidate, as are fellow quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers, Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan, Mark Sanchez and Josh Freeman.
So do you vote for Rice and defy The Curse or pick a player your least-favorite team can ill-afford to lose?
Rice takes on Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns in the first-round bracket. Let the voting begin.
