Sports Illustrated's Peter King revealed his 2010 All-Pro squad on Tuesday, and two Ravens made the cut: inside linebacker Ray Lewis and right tackle Marshal Yanda. Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata got no love.
"Don't believe the hype that this is it for Lewis," he wrote about Ray. "He played great this year." Agreed.
No offense to Yanda, who played pretty well at right tackle in the absence of Jared Gaither, but his inclusion on this list is puzzling. "I went tough at tackle," King wrote. "Two warriors here, particularly [Dolphins left tackle Jake] Long, who played so much of the year with a torn labrum." I get that King is trying to think outside the box, but I just don't see it. Yanda had a good season, but he wasn't that good. I would have went with Damien Woody of the Jets, Jason Smith of the Rams or Vernon Carey of the Dolphins.
And King not putting Ngata on his All-Pro team is surprising, especially since he hyped up the Pro Bowl defensive tackle for most of the season's first half, saying he could be the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
