In 2009, after a regular-season loss to the Bengals, I was trying to think of something to blog about after the game when the idea to do some analysis, and break it into a format called Five Things We Learned, popped into my head. I'm not even sure why I did it, but my boss liked it, and so I continued doing it. I think, in the beginning, most people who did read it wondered why a feature writer whose name they were only vaguely familiar with fancied himself an internet columnist. But slowly and steadily, those pieces gained popularity and acceptance until they became my favorite thing to write for The Sun. As readers, you proved to me that the length of a blog doesn't matter as long as enough effort is put into it by the writer, and for that, I am forever grateful.
