A quick sweep of the Web reveals fan-boys moaning and groaning over Christopher Nolan's lack of a nod for best director for "Inception." Gentlemen, dry your tears. Danny Boyle received basically the same treatment for "127 Hours." Do you see his fanatics wailing that he didn't win best director for a piece of work that was easily as virtuosic and more emotionally daring? Nolan won a best original script nod, and Boyle and Simon Beaufoy won one for best adapted script -- and both films are up for best picture. Decent treatment, I say.
