FROM TODAY'S PRINT EDITIONS:
Up early? Venus dazzles this morning, close beside a crescent moon. It’s the brightest appearance by the brightest object in the sky except for the sun and moon. You can even see it in daylight if you know where to look.
Through a telescope, Venus, too, appears as a moon-like crescent. Look for it in the east an hour or two before dawn.
Missed it today? Venus will be nearly as bright for the next few weeks.
