I have come to the conclusion that Joe Flacco will never be a great NFL quarterback, but a good one. Unfortunately, Flacco is playing in a city that has been so starved for a quality quarterback that his every move is scrutinized.

Overall, Flacco has played reasonably well in 2010. I don't expect him to carry the team, but complement the surrounding cast. He doesn't have the talent of Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning, but put in the right system with the right coaches I think he can flourish even more.

But in Baltimore, we want a Manning or a Brady because we've seen the Tony Bankses, Kyle Bollers, Stoney Cases and Scott Mitchells for so long. We want the next John Unitas, because he was the best.

But there was only one Unitas as there is only one Manning, Brady and Dan Marino. Fans want to make Flacco into something he isn't, and that's a great quarterback. Instead, he is a good quarterback, one who can take the Ravens where they want to go if used properly.
