Saints' Payton not buying reports of Ravens defense's demise

After surrendering 489 yards of total offense in a 34-28 overtime win against the Houston Texans, the Ravens don't appear to boast the dominating defense they've had in the past.

Try telling that to New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton.

"They've played at a high level for a long period of time," he said during a conference call with Baltimore media Wednesday afternoon. "It's really hard to point to any other organization that has had that staying power. I was a part of the 2000 [New York Giants] team [as the offensive coordinator] that played against them in the Super Bowl and saw firsthand a defense that year that played at an extremely high level. This is a group that is very physical. I think they run very well. They've got good ball skills on the back-end. They present a lot of challenges for us, especially us."
