Afer making his first appearance in last year's Pro Bowl, Ravens running back Ray Rice hasn't quite enjoyed the kind of follow-up season that many might have anticipated.
Although he currently ranks 12th in the NFL with 815 rushing yards, Rice is a versatile threat as a pass-catcher – as evidenced by his 109.7 scrimmage yards per game this season.
In a poll conducted by Sports Illustrated and released Tuesday, 287 NFL players were asked whom they would hand the ball off to on third-down-and-3. Rice finished fifth in the voting, collecting 4 percent.
The rest of the top five included the Minnesota Vikings' Adrian Peterson (32 percent of the vote), the Tennessee Titans' Chris Johnson (21 percent), the New York Giants' Brandon Jacobs (10 percent) and the St. Louis Rams' Steven Jackson (6 percent).
