Mike Preston: Pittsburgh fallout remains high

I can't believe all of this uproar about John Harbaugh's recent comments defending his assistant coach and telling fans that if they aren't proud of the Ravens, maybe they should go root for another team.

Well, maybe they should.Harbaugh has a quick temper, and the impulsiveness with his tongue gets him in trouble at times. But I don't really care how a head coach treats fans or the media. As long as he doesn't do something that is against the law or totally outrageous, he can basically do whatever he wants as long as he wins football games.

That's the bottom line.

Vince Lombardi was no sweetheart. Bill Parcells didn't care about anyone else except his team, and Bill Belichick's dog hates him.

Harbaugh certainly isn't in that class yet. He has no Super Bowl rings, but if you call in to a radio talk show and ask a question, then you're going to get an answer. If you don't like it, too bad, because maybe you shouldn't have asked the question.

There is just way too much emotion and fallout from the Pittsburgh loss in this town. The Ravens lost, and the sun, as always, came up the next morning. Harbaugh and all the fans should just chill out and remember, it was only a game, and the Ravens are 8-4, and still have a chance to win the AFC North and gain a playoff bid. This season is still far from over.

But thanks to Harbaugh, though, for stirring the pot. It was fun.
