The Ravens apparently won't have to deal with Chad Ochocinco this Sunday.
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, who missed last Sunday's victory over the San Diego Chargers due to a bone spur in his left ankle, told The Cincinnati Enquirer on Thursday that he will not play and won't even make the trip to Baltimore.
"The Ravens are the Ravens. They always have a great defense, but we'll be fine. Jerome [Simpson, who will replace Ochocinco in the lineup] will be fine," Ochocinco said. There is speculation that Ochocinco may have played his last game as a Bengal in the team's 19-17 win against the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 19. The six-time Pro Bowler is a free agent after this season, and the franchise has the option of paying Ochocinco – who turns 33 on Jan. 9 -- $6 million to retain him for 2011.
Ochocinco finished 2010 ranked second on the team in receptions (67), yards (831) and touchdowns (4).
