The concussion suffered by rookie return specialist and receiver David Reed could have a significant impact. Reed was replaced by Jalen Parmele in the Saints game, and Parmele performed well returning three kickoffs for 79 yards, including one for 38.

Parmele, though, doesn't have the speed or acceleration of Reed. Reed makes quick decisions and runs north and south instead of east and west. The injury comes at a time when the Ravens were just starting to get some consistent plays from the return game in Reed and punt returner Lardarius Webb. The Ravens were also working Reed in on the rotation at wide receiver. Reed, along with Donte' Stallworth, are two of the fastest players on the team.
