Leftovers from Q&A with Ed Dickson

Wednesday's edition of The Sun included a Q&A with rookie tight end Ed Dickson. Due to space limitations, some questions and answers were omitted. Here is the rest.

Question: What's your favorite movie and why?

Answer: I have a lot of favorite movies. One of my favorite movies – and it's an older movie – is Bad Boys 1 and 2. I really like the action in it, and Will Smith is a great actor. I watch "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" all the time. I've got it on DVD, but every time it comes on TV, I've got to watch it there, too.

Q: Is there an athlete or entertainer you would pay to see?

A: My favorite basketball team is the [Los Angeles] Lakers, and I've been a diehard Kobe [Bryant] fan since he's been in the league. I'd go pay to see the Lakers any day. I also like Denzel [Washington]. He's getting older, but he's one of my favorite actors.

Q: You're probably aware that the topic of Kobe Bryant's place among the great NBA players can generate a firestorm of debate within the locker room. Where do you rank him?

A: You can never doubt Kobe's greatness. A lot of people say he's tried to model himself after Michael Jordan, but I say that if you're modeling a great player and you're doing well, then you're doing great yourself. I think he took a little bit of his game from Michael, and he's doing well. One more championship – he's already mentioned with the great players – and he'll be talked about up there with Michael.Q: If you could have one superhero power, what would it be?

A: The ability to fly. To get across the country without having to drive, to get from one point to the next point in a matter of minutes or hours would be great. I'd be able to fly myself to Southern California to see my family.

Q: What's the worst habit you can admit to?

A: Procrastination. It's getting better though. It's getting a lot better, but if I feel like something's not important, I may push it off to the side.

Q: What's your favorite and least favorite food?

A: My favorite food is macaroni and cheese. My auntie [Melinda Wilson] makes some of the best macaroni and cheese. I'm not going to say that I don't like sushi, but some raw fish, I don't know about that.
