Flacco in rare playoff company

Joe Flacco is the third starting quarterback since 1970 to lead his team to the NFL postseason in his first three seasons, joining Bernie Kosar (1985-87) and Dan Marino (1983-86) accomplished the feat.

"I'm sure I'm not going to think about it now," Flacco said. "We're looking beyond that. We just don't want to be in the playoffs every year. We want to be a threat to get to the Super Bowl and win it every year. That's what we're trying to do this year."Flacco is also moving up another elite list for young quarterbacks. His 34 wins is tied with the Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger for the second-most by a starting quarterback in his first three seasons (including playoffs) since 1970. Dan Marino ranks first with 36 victories.
