The Ravens promoted tight end Davon Drew to the active roster from the practice squad and waived guard Bryan Mattison, the team announced Monday afternoon.
This is Drew's first time on the active roster as the second-year tight end spent the majority of his rookie campaign on the practice squad. The fifth-round pick in 2009 is large (6 feet, 4 inches and 255 pounds) and provides depth as a blocker.
Mattison was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad on the eve of the Ravens' 37-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 21. He is the son of defensive coordinator Greg Mattison.
