B.Mattison doesn't stay unemployed for long

Bryan Mattison's vacation from the Ravens was a short one.

Despite getting waived on Monday to make room on the active roster for second-year tight end Davon Drew, Mattison was back with the team Wednesday after agreeing to join the practice squad.

"I'm very happy," said Mattison, who is the son of defensive coordinator Greg Mattison. "I like the guys on the team, I like the coaches, and hopefully, we can go far in the playoffs."Mattison, who was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on the eve of the Ravens' away game against the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 21, conceded that he was "a little disappointed" at getting released.

But he emphasized that returning to the practice squad is better than not doing anything at all.

"You've got to have a job, too," Mattison said. "You can't say no here and sit at home. That doesn't make sense at all."
