Billick's interesting link to Ravens-Saints game

Brian Billick is Fox's scheduled analyst for the Ravens-Saints game on Sunday. It marks the second time that Billick has covered the team that he coached from 1999 to 2007.

It's interesting that Billick will be part of the broadcasting team for this particular game. The last time the Ravens played the Saints was in 2006, a memorable one on a couple of fronts for Billick.

That was the first game that Billick took over as the Ravens' play-caller and the team scored a season-high 35 points. Quarterback Steve McNair finished with a season-high passer rating (121.5), and Jamal Lewis gained a season-best 109 yards on 31 tough carries. That was also the time when Billick made some headlines leading up to the game. In playing a city that had been slowly rebuilding itself since Hurricane Katrina, Billick said, "Everybody loves them, and deservedly so. You go in and beat them, you might as well go and beat up Mother Teresa - you know, `You scums, what are you doing here?' But that is what we are going to try to do."
