Asia, the band cobbled together from the leftovers of Roxy Music, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, and the Buggles, will perform at Rams Head on Stage May 3, the venue announced this week.

Making up the band are guitarist Steve Howe, formerly of Yes; multi-instrumentalist John Wetton of Roxy Music; drummer Carl Palmer of Emerson, Lake & Palmer; and keyboardist Geoff Downes, formerly of the Buggles, who collectively, are a who's who of progressive British rock.

The original members formed  Asia in 1981 after those bands disbanded, broke up a few years later, and re-united in their original incarnation in 2006 for a 25th anniversary tour and greatest hits package.

They are now touring with a new album, "Omega." Tickets for the Rams Head show are $75 and are now on sale at the venue's website.
