What bowl should Terps play in?

We'll post a new story soon on Maryland's bowl possibilities.

In the meantime, feel free to weigh in. What bowl does Maryland deserve? What bowl would be best for the fans? And who would you like to see Maryland match up against?

Some guidelines:

*Virginia Tech (8-0) and Florida State (6-2) have better conference marks than Maryland. The Terps have the same league record as N.C. State and Miami. In other words, Maryland is tied for the third-best ACC mark.

*Maryland's record does not guarantee it will be be picked for one of the top-five ACC-affiliated bowls. Bowl games are not required to pick teams based on final record alone, making their selections sometimes difficult to forecast. Bowls often consider other factors, such as how a team performed in its last few games and how many of the team's fans may attend the bowl.

*After the Orange Bowl gets the ACC champion, the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta gets its pick of the rest. Then comes the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando. After that, the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas; the Meineke Car Care Bowl; and the Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tenn., make bids for the ACC teams they want. Then come the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La., and the Military Bowl at Washington's RFK Stadium.

The Meineke game told me Maryland is in the running. Clemson could also be a top prospect for the game. North Carolina has been in that bowl two years in a row and may want to look elsewhere.

The Military Bowl says it wants the Terps. Obviously, Maryland would be a good local draw for that game.
