The Ravens’ first of two practices in preparation for Thursday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons took on a lighter tone than most sessions.

The practice took place inside the team's indoor facility in Owings Mills, and the players did not dress in full pads, electing to wear just jerseys and sweatpants.

Cornerback Fabian Washington was not present during the portion of practice open to the media. Washington has been benched in back-to-back games, but he was not reported to have suffered an injury in the team's 26-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins this past Sunday.

Free safety Tom Zbikowski, who has missed the last two games because of a bruised right heel, was also absent.

Rookie tight end Dennis Pitta (concussion) was present and active. Also, running back Matt Lawrence took part in his first practice since being placed on injured reserve on Nov. 24 with a knee injury. Lawrence appears to be activated from the team's physically-unable-to-perform list.
