The Next Level: Morgan's Thompson playing tough

Thanks for checking into the Next Level for our second men's college basketball roundup of the season.

We're always excited to highlight some of the former local high school basketball standouts who decided to stay home for college, and this week we recognize Morgan State junior forward Kevin Thompson. The Walbrook graduate scored 61 points and posted 32 rebounds over four games this week.

On Saturday, Thompson finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals in the Bears' 79-74 loss at La Salle. He had 14 points and 10 rebounds against Providence on Nov. 18, 12 points and eight rebounds against Western Illinois on Tuesday, and 10 points and 10 rebounds vs. North Florida on Wednesday.
