There could be a lot of flags at M&T Bank Stadium today, where Carl Cheffers will be the referee for the Ravens-Buccaneers game. His crew has called the third-most penalties in the NFL this season (168 in 10 games).

Cheffer's group has flagged roughing the passer six times, which is tied for most in the NFL. But this crew has only called 10 pass interference penalties, which ranks in the middle of the league.

Cheffers called the Ravens' divisional playoff loss at Indianapolis that ended their season. In that 20-3 loss, the Ravens were called for seven penalties and the Colts were flagged four times. The Ravens had two pass interference penalties (Domonique Foxworth and Corey Ivy), two false starts (Todd Heap and Jared Gaither) and an unnecessary roughness one (Ray Lewis).
