Ravens fullback Le'Ron McClain denied that he spit on Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder during the Ravens' 26-10 win over Miami.
Crowder accuses McClain of spitting at him late in the third quarter, when the linebacker crossed into the Ravens' backfield after calling a timeout.
"I'm not that type of player," McClain said. "If he's frustrated that I was straight getting after him all game, that's a fact. That's his opinion if he thought I spit on him, but the fact is, throughout the game, for four quarters, I was doing my job. And I'll just leave it at that."
Crowder lashed out after the game, using several expletives to describe McClain.
"If he ever comes to Miami, he's got to see me," Crowder said. "He's soft and he spit in my face."
Crowder said the officials told him that they didn't see anything. "But I know what he did," Crowder said.
Miami linebacker Karlos Dansby described McClain's actions as "cowardly."
"Nah, I didn't spit on him. That's crazy," McClain said. "That's not my game. I'm Le'Ron McClain, man. Le'Ron McClain don't spit on another player. But I will block you. Four quarters. That's a fact."
