WMAR moves "Square Off," adds Sunday newscast

WMAR-TV, Baltimore's ABC affiliate, will move Richard Sher's public affairs show, "Square Off," to a new time time period at 10 a.m. Sunday this weekend. The move will put the locally produced show in the thick of Sunday morning public affairs programming.

The station will also launch a local newscast at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

"We do not yet have a regular anchor," General Manager Bill Hooper said in email response to questions about newscast personnel.

The lineup spot that "Square Off" assumes had been filled by paid programming, according to Hooper.
