Former Ravens kicker Steve Hauschka was signed Monday to kick for the Las Vegas Locomotive in the United Football League.
Hauschka hit nine of 13 field goals with the Ravens before being cut in November, 2009. His long kickoffs were the reason cited by Las Vegas coach Jim Fassel for signing him and releasing Parker Douglass, who had hit 4 of 6 field goals.
Fassel's kicker a year ago was Graham Gano, who lost out to Hauschka in a kicking competition with the Ravens in 2008 training camp. Gano signed with the Redskins this season.
Hauschka spent time with the Vikings, Falcons and Lions besides the Ravens in the NFL. His UFL debut will be Friday in Vegas against the Omaha Nighthawks.
