Former Ravens first-round pick Mark Clayton is out for the season with a torn patellar tendon in his knee.

Clayton, who was traded to the St. Louis Rams just before the start of the season, was having his most productive season. He had 23 catches for 306 yards and two touchdowns, becoming the favorite target for Sam Bradford.

This is devastating news for Clayton, who will be a free agent for the first time after the season.

"I got kicked right in the knee," Clayton said. "And as soon as he did it, (the knee) was like so hot and I couldn't move anything so it knew it was pretty serious."
