Suggs looking forward to seeing a familiar face

Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs has not tried to hide his affinity for former Ravens and current New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott, who frequently took the young Suggs under his wing prior to leaving after the 2008 season.

And as the Ravens prepare to meet the Jets in the season opener for both teams on Monday night, Suggs seemed to look forward to seeing Scott – even if they are on opposing sidelines.

"You know Bart is like a brother to me," Suggs said. "So it's going to be interesting. It'll be the first time I have an opportunity to play against him in the regular season. Maybe this is the classic tale of Cain and Abel. Come Monday night, we're going to find out who is Cain and who is Abel."

Suggs, who has talked often with Scott, said the lines of communication have gone quiet this week.

"I'll call him Tuesday morning," Suggs said. "But no talk this week."
