Ravens' second-teamers getting beat up by Rams

Ravens middle linebacker Jason Phillips looked good stopping the run during the Rams' first drive, but couldn't stay with Rams tight end Billy Bajema on the game's first touchdown.

Rookie quarterback Sam Bradford, who had his way with the Ravens' second-teamers, easily found Bajema open in the back of the end zone. Bradford was 6-of-6 on the first drive and then pulled from the game.

Sun columnist Mike Preston noticed Phillips' lack of coverage skills during the first week of training camp and wrote about it in a blog.

Phillips isn't the only Raven not staying with the Rams tonight. John Harbaugh has to keep repeating to himself, "It's a meaningless game, it's a meaningless game." It has to be killing him to see his defense shredded.
