Through two weeks (not including the Monday night game between the Saints and 49ers), the Ravens are dead last in the NFL in turnover differential with a minus-six differential. They somehow edge out the Titans (minus-five), who committed seven turnovers Sunday in a loss to the Steelers.
The Ravens have turned the ball over seven times. Joe Flacco, who wasn't a turnover machine in his first two seasons, has coughed up the ball a Cutleresque six times (five interceptions and one fumble).
"Any pick is bad. Any interception is bad," Flacco said after throwing four interceptions in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Bengals. "You don't feel good about them."
Meanwhile, as well as the Ravens have played defensively so far -- they are No. 2 in total defense -- they have forced just one turnover, and that came when Jets running back Shonn Greene ran into his own lineman and fumbled.
"You can't win in this league [committing turnovers], and that's been proven time and time again," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Sunday. "Minus-four is not going to get it done. We did it with minus-two last week, but we have to get that straightened out fast."
