Trevor Pryce has signed with the New York Jets one day after being released by the Ravens, a league source confirmed.
It reunites Pryce with Rex Ryan, his former defensive coordinator with the Ravens.
The news was first announced by linebacker Terrell Suggs on his Twitter.
On Twitter, Suggs said, "kinda sad 2day. my boy trevor pryce signed wit the JETS!!!!! happy for him but would rather he be on my team!!!!!"
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the team would re-sign Pryce after cutting him on Tuesday. The Ravens had talked to Pryce's agent about bringing him back as early as next Tuesday.
Pryce had a solid relationship with Ryan, the former Ravens defensive coordinator who is now the New York Jets head coach.
Asked whether he thought Ryan would make it as a head coach, Pryce said, "If he becomes a head coach, I'm going to find out and I'm going with him."
There has been no official announcement by the Jets.
Inside the Ravens locker room, someone wrote a message on the board that read: "RIP Trevor. You're a comeback. Good man."
