Over the next week, The Sun's Jamison Hensley gives his predictions on how each of the NFL divisions will unfold this season. As always, this is not an exact science.
1. Philadelphia: This is a young and extremely talented team. New starting quarterback Kevin Kolb is primed for a breakthrough season. The return of middle linebacker Stewart Bradley and the drafting of Brandon Graham will keep the defense among the elite ones.
2. Dallas: Tony Romo can put up impressive numbers in the regular season. But the pressure will be on the Cowboys to get to the Super Bowl in Dallas. And everyone knows how Romo handles pressure. The defense has perhaps the best front seven in the NFL. The weakness on defense is at safety. Teams will look to expose that position with deep throws.
3. N.Y. Giants: The Giants are already dealing with injuries and won't get healthier during the regular season. Plus, not a fan of Eli Manning. This team seems destined to underachieve for a second straight season.
4. Washington: Just like his days in Philadelphia, McNabb is surrounded by mediocre talent at running back and wide receiver. There will be little fight left with the Redskins after battling highly paid Albert Haynesworth this offseason.
