Over the next week, The Sun's Jamison Hensley gives his predictions on how each of the NFL divisions will unfold this season. As always, this is not an exact science.
1. Green Bay: The Packers are clearly the class of the division. Green Bay is riding the momentum of a strong finish. The Packers then filled their biggest holes through the draft. Did I mention Aaron Rodgers?
2. Minnesota: This is the year when Brett Favre's consecutive games streak comes to an end. Favre is just too banged up. The Vikings aren't the same without him or injured wide receiver Sidney Rice.
3. Detroit: The Lions are heading in the right direction. Matthew Stafford has more options than Calvin Johnson. Detroit added wide receiver Nate Burleson and tight end Tony Scheffler. The defensive line will be much stronger with Ndamukong Suh and Kyle Vanden Bosch.
4. Chicago: Bringing in Julius Peppers was impressive. Failing to add a No. 1 receiver was a mistake. The Bears' reworked offensive line has looked awful this preseason. A pressured Jay Cutler is not a pretty sight.
